I had my first AP Exam today. Yay. I don't think I did that badly as it was only Bio, but I hadn't studied nearly as much as I should have. Celebration commences with BSG episodes and some Apollo Justice.

Steffi left yesterday, and I'm going to miss having that one friend that is always sitting next to you in your classes. But I'll see her again in a little over a month and a half. In any event there is an orchestra concert to be attended to night as well around 7:30 I believe.

Basically I'm cleaning my room so that when the German girl comes to our home Sunday on the GAPP trip she will be able to sleep in my room while I claim the basement. I'm unsure what all to do while she's around to keep her entertained. I'm thinking Laser Tag on the second Tuesday she's here as that's $4 a game on Tuesdays. Then probably watch some movies or at least one in theater. And I'm also thinking of looking into some sort of 1 time ballroom dance lesson as I know she is a dancer, just not the ballroom kind. Shopping is already planned out but besides that I'm looking for some good suggestions. Any ideas?

So, went to Anime Club last Friday to see the Full Metal Alchemist movie on a big screen, only to remember why I don't go to Anime Club. Luckily, I found a friend from my second hour that isn't an otaku. Also, that movie still is disappointing, they just introduce to many things at a rapid rate that don't make automatic sense with what people who have watched the show know. But, it was still nice to watch some FMA. Strangely enough they voted to watch it with the English dub. : /

In other news, I'm going to Disney World over the mid-winter break! :D

Well thanks to the Christmas break my sleep schedule is out of wack. Not only did I take a fun little walk around the snowy block at 4 in the morning on New Years but today I stayed up all night for a couple of assignments that weren't due today, or even until Friday or the next Friday. So, having been awake for going on 25 hours when I type this my sense of humor has improved and I started giggling to myself as I told the tale to some classmates.

Also, I am now a contributed member of the park! I'll post pictures later but I painted one of Mr. Francis' ceiling tiles with some Zelda emblems over the break. He, in his good voice, thinks it's some sort of cult.

So, I've decided that my day-to-day school life is quite boring the way it is and have decided to mix up what classes I have when for a day. So the run down of tomorrow is....

1st hour Am Lit
2nd Honors Bio
3rd Shakespeare/Budahfest (Whatever that is. The point is it's a free day to hang out in the Dubois Theater)
4th AGS II
B Lunch with B lunch friends!
5th German II
6th Close up

Time to see how the other 1/6th live. I hear my Am Lit teacher's other 2 hours (1 and 3) are quite productive. Shakespeare doesn't change due to it being the only class of the semester. Say, most learned people above me, what IS Budahfest and am I spelling it right? Why am I doing this again? Because, like Rik Mayall here, it is a bore!

And now a couple of things I've most certainly not done in the past couple of weeks.
* Struck Phoenix Wright poses while wearing my suit in church.
* Watched all 37 episodes of Death Note over the past 5 days.

I feel as though I need to better some of my classmates around me so they live up to my standards. This means having them over to watch Firefly. Am I lame in that whenever I want to have friends over it's mainly just to show them a movie or a tv show? Ah well, I'll just have to see a lot more foreign and independent films so I can be the movie guy among my friends.

Also, if you want to post anonymously about what you want for Christmas, that would be really great, I'll sort out who gets what by myself. :)

Hahaha... so today in Am. Lit. Class, to get the point across of how rumors quickly made people turn on each other during the Salem Witch Trials, my teacher put on this act that one of us plagiarized their Creative Creation Tale. She got made, talked about how lenient her rules have been and how we've betrayed her trust and then put a paper on the wall for the guilty one to sign to show he/she was sorry (she then left the room but waited to listen). And she promised a lower punishment if they came out. Blah blah blah no one went up and eventually she just pulled the "guilty" one out of the class room. Then pulled two of his accomplishes out too. And it ended.

Shortly after she explained how she picked the first "witch." She picked the loudest when we all shared encouraging words for the guilty person to sign the paper. But the real kicker was when said added (something along the lines of), "I almost picked Mike because when I googled the title of his paper I got one website that he had posted his on. But I'm pretty sure it was his because the post mentioned the American Lit. class and it was posted the night before."

Haha.... it reminded me of that Veronica Mars episode early in the 3rd season where a teacher accuses her of plagiarism. So that was a fun hour.

Also, a cure for HIV?

Anu was lost in the darkness of space, so he rubbed his coarse hands together and from them sparked the burning sun. But the sun burned to hot and caused Anu to sweat. By his sweat, the great salty seas were created and the great island that was known as Pangea rose from the solidified salt of the sea.

The Great Spirit looked over the world and sought to create life over its barren smooth surface. Anu plucked the hairs from his arm and thrust them into the ground making the vast fields of Pangea. Anu was overcome by the beauty of his creation and wept across the surface of his world and from where the tears fell, forests grew. From the earth he molded the birds and the fish of the sea with his hands. Anu then spoke to ground and commanded all the creatures of the earth to arise from its soil.

Chief among the land dwellers was man, whom was given neither claw nor teeth to make his way, but a brain. Anu instructed man on how to use the gifts of the earth around him and how to work together with his fellow man to achieve community. Anu ruled over the humans and gave them order. But they were not his favorite creation.

Anu decided to create a great and wild beast as a pet. With all his imagination and skill, the Salamancia was born on the world. The Salamancia was given full rule and allowed to roam as it liked. The great beast was fearsome and tore the earth to his liking. With its great bat-like wings it made tornados that cut through the earth and channeled the water. Its great claws ripped into the earth and piled it into mountains. Valleys and caverns carved out of the ground to sleep in and seek shelter from the searing sun. Salamancia flew into the sky and clouds and swallowed the lightning of the storms. It derived great joy from expelling the fire of the heavens upon objects, which eventually drew it to the great civilizations of man.

Man marveled at the great pet of Anu and was commanded not to interfere with it. But Salamancia came to the humans and brought its wild nature upon them. Whole villages of man’s making were burned to the ground, and the people: woman, man, and child alike, were devoured. The other villages of man saw what happened and pleaded with Anu to stop his pet from destroying all that he had made. But Anu would not help harm his most favored creation and humans started researching with their brains how to stop another living thing.

Man kind’s necessity created a great army armed with weapons to confront the Salamancia. They approached the lair of the Salamancia but were blown from its entrance by a great wind. By using cowardly sacrificial methods they drew Salamancia from its lair and slew it through sheer numbers and by the point of their spears. Its destruction boiled a great rage in Anu.

Anu threw out his arm and hit the world. Pangea was cracked into 7 pieces and its people were split. Anu was furious that his command to not harm his pet was broken and left the humans to roam their world without his guidance. Man soon looked for a leader to guide them and a great bloodshed arose from their new willingness to use force. To this day the world has never known a day of peace and its people are separated.
As the ages passed, the story of the Salamancia was passed down through the generations of all the people of the world. Its tale would be seen as the devil that created discourse in the world. Some people would consider it a guardian and others would just know it as a god unto itself. So even when the world was split and its people fought among themselves, they would all hold the legend of the dragon and interpret it differently. To this day, as the winds of the Earth blow from the cavern, some can hear the cry of the great worm as it dies and takes order from the world.

And it's to late to make any changes but I would love feed back from more educated sources. :) This one kid wanted me to change the second paragraph so that instead of, "making the vast fields of Pangea." it would read, "making grass."
I find imagery, be it in adjectives or metaphors, to be the frosting of the written cake.

Man, I feel sorry for Johnathan Harker, Dracula was a jerk. :(

Which is why I'm going to download Super Castlevania IV to the Wii tonight and set out to tear him limb from limb! I'll probably start reading The Golden Compass this weekend.
Also, hopefully I'll get to play Halo 3 this weekend as the wait has been strenuous. I re-watched all the trailers for both 2 and 3 last night.

And then I suppose the only other thing to really mention is this.

I went to Target the other day and finally got Julie a present worthy of presenting to her. Sorry, you'll have to come home at some point to find out what it is. :P
I also picked up a Nerf gun (N-Strike Disk Shot) for myself. You can see it here. Only it doesn't have the silly scope on the top. And no I didn't buy a gun with an expensive gadget with it, I got just the gun and some ammo for about $13.

Talking to people around school, I find I become rather annoyed when I find out another sophomore is a grade ahead of me in Algebra. Not at them but I feel as though I should by all rights be at least one grade up if I had just said, "Yes" to trying to get into the next math grade after failing to the year before. My AGS II class bugs me for some reason too. I can't put my finger on it. Could be all the freshmen. :X

But not to end this post on a sad note, I cheered myself up quite a bit when I got home by modifying the new Nerf gun. It now fires an additional 7 feet. (Roughly) And this is one that already fires about 30 feet. These are all tests I've done firing at a 45* angle if you want to know. It's a better gun than the Maverick. Which is hard to say because there is no revolving chambers.
I kinda want to paint it, I'm not to keen on the yellow look.

I can now add eel to the list of 'Un-American foods that I've consumed that will gross out the average American.' Though, I don't know if it really counts if it was with a few other things on that sushi roll from Julie's Birthday lunch. Especially if I can't say how it tasted.

Two of my teachers said one or more of the fallowing: Ho, whore!, and big pimpin'. *commence smirk*My 2nd hour has a coffee/tea/hot cocoa table. Kathy's little sis in German being one of them.

Also, anyone want to recommend to me a good Shakespearean sonnet for recitation?
